Bacteriostatic Water Overview
Bacteriostatic Water for Injection is a sterile, non-pyrogenic preparation of water for injection that contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The benzyl alcohol prevents the growth of bacteria in the multidose vial after the rubber stopper has been punctured, allowing for multiple withdrawals over time.
This product is supplied in a 10 mL vial and is intended for use as a diluent for the reconstitution of lyophilized peptides and other injectable products that require reconstitution before use.
